Price: $1500
The "Introduction to Power BI, Data Modeling, and Data Analysis for ERP Data" course is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively utilize Power BI for data analysis and modeling, specifically tailored to ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) data. This comprehensive two-day course will provide hands-on learning experience, covering the fundamentals of Power BI, data modeling techniques, and data analysis concepts. Participants will gain practical insights into transforming ERP data into meaningful visualizations, enabling them to make informed business decisions. The instructor will include best practices and tips for efficient data modeling, visualization design, and data analysis workflows specific to ERP data. The data we will use for our “hands-on” lab will be sample data for the General Ledger, Bank Accounts, Payables, and Receivables; which is likely to be a combination of data from a variety of ERP systems. Please note that this course is meant for all ERP systems, not just Dynamics ERP systems.
Note: This course assumes a basic understanding of ERP systems and familiarity with data analysis concepts. Participants should bring their laptops with the latest version of Power BI Desktop pre-installed for the hands-on exercises. Guidance will be provided ahead of time for installation instructions. The online version of Power BI will not be sufficient for this course.
Program level: No programming experience is required. That said, this class does data modeling and various function creations, so some experience in Excel formulas will be helpful.
Note: The Power BI Desktop does not install on a Mac; windows or windows emulation is required. Installation requires either access to the Microsoft Store or Admin rights, so it must be installed before arriving to class.
Program Level: Beginner
Delivery Method: Group Live
CPE Credits: 16
Prerequisites: None
Advance Preparation: Before class, the latest version of Power BI desktop must be installed on your laptop/notebook.
