The workshop lays a foundation for understanding the science used to develop forecasts, safety stocks, and replenishment suggestions "purchase and transfer suggestions".

The workshop has been developed to deliver training in a fun, educational, and hands-on format. Participants are taught the theory of inventory management in a series of well-organized modules. Following the presentation of theory, participants are grouped into teams where they exercise the theory in simulated supply chain games. The teams compete against each other and are measured on their ability to maximize profit.

In addition to an understanding of theory, participants will come away with a common supply chain language which greatly enhances communication and understanding.
