SQL Query Fundamentals I, is an introduction into Microsoft SQL Queries. It is intended to teach the basic concepts of Structured Query Language (SQL), and provide a solid working knowledge through the many examples provided, and by active participation in the classroom lessons and labs. By design, this course has been developed to maximize your abilities to retrieve and display data for your reporting and analytics information needs. Although the SQL Query Fundamentals I was developed for the beginner student with no SQL experience, there are still many things that even an experienced SQL user will discover they may not know, and new tips and tricks will be acquired that will make your SQL life better. By the end of this course, you will be given a solid working knowledge of Microsoft SQL. This knowledge will allow you to become a SQL ROCK STAR for your company. You will be a SQL HERO!

Day 2

If you are the person that needs to write reports, extract data or get information from the Dynamics GP system, YOU NEED TO BE HERE! The class is intended to teach you and develop real world SQL queries against the Dynamics GP database.

These queries and views can then be used as the bases for any reporting you want to develop using other tools like PowerBI, SSRS, Excel Refreshable, Excel Pivot and many more.
By developing these complex queries and views you allow for a common one stop view that can be used by many different reports. You will learn how to find and connect your Dynamics GP data and how 3rd party ISV products can affect this.

If you are not a Dynamics GP person, but are using SWQL, you will still benefit from the deep query building and view building that is taught in this class, only the data names have been changed... to protect the innocent. :-)

Learning Objectives:

1. Learn where and how to find the Dynamics GP Data quickly and simply
2. Develop real world, take home queries and views for many modules
3. Understand how 3rd party products effect the Dynamics GP data
